My most recent project-Harlequin Diamonds

Most of yall know I almost always have some crazy house project I am working on, and the majority of them usually involve paint. I had been wanting to do this since I got my kitchen painted this summer and was just waiting for my inspiration to start. Not bad at all for my first time!
This is my Butler's Pantry- that little area that connects my kitchen to my dining room. My kitchen is all red with the brown glaze fauxed over it so this makes a really nice transition.

The first step was to measure and draw a grid to scale my diamonds. Then, was the taping. I taped all my diamonds and used an Exacto knife to trim my tape so I wouldn't have to paint and tape twice like you would in a traditional diamond paint job.

Then came to the 2 coats of paint- red, then a chocolate brown oil glaze over the top and WALA! Gorgeous!

I'm impressed! Wanna come to my house and help me out?! Thanks for your sweet comment. We are really excited! I'll keep you posted on everything. I need your email address so I can send you emails rather than you wait to read it on the blog! Post it on my blog and I'll delete it as soon as I get it!
